Proverbs 3:5-6
I want to thank you for your continued prayers and interest in the upcoming mission to Africa.
Over the past month, I talked with a few of you about other options other than ALARM for serving overseas and completing my mission trip. Whether it is Nigeria, Burundi, Congo or Uganda, I am thankful for the ministry contacts many you provided me to research and investigate. I feel privileged to have met missionaries serving the Lord in Africa and hearing about what God is doing among the peoples there; God is doing amazing things all over Africa.
I want to inform you all of the most recent developments concerning my mission trip. I recently received the necessary information I needed from ALARM to move forward with the internship in Rwanda. Despite hearing about other ministries, I still feel called to serve in Rwanda by what God's has put on my heart for the country and its people already.
What is the next step in moving forward towards departure to Rwanda?
I have tentatively set my mission dates between 10/01/2008 to 03/31/2009. ALARM needs to confirming these dates and I must still purchase the plane tickets. Baring any unexpected surprises, I do not anticipate any changes in plan. I will let you know what the final dates will be when confirmation comes.
I have also tentatively made a budget, which you may view on the Kingdom Seekers web-page @ http://bernhard.andrew.googlepages.com/. You may continue to send your financial gifts to:
ALARM, Inc.
P.O. Box 740337
Dallas, TX 75374
Please make a note on the front of the envelope "For Andrew Bernhard, Rwanda Mission" so that David Beck, the treasurer at ALARM, will know which account to put your gift.
I intend to make contact with you all to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about my mission to Rwanda with ALARM.
Again, thank you for you continued prayers. I look forward to partnering with you all in the kingdom work of God in Africa.
God's blessings,
Andrew
