Arrival in Kigali

Hellow Everyone,

I safely arrived in Kigali two days ago.

During my time here, I visited the vocational schools as well as a perochial school for girls sponsored by ALARM.

As I see with my own eyes what is happening in the schools and the lives that are transformed by God's people here, I am so excited about what the Lord might be pleased to do in my life and in the lives of the Rwandans during the next six months.

I get my first African church service experience tomorrow. I am looking forward to see how the Rwandans worship the Lord according to their culture.

I have already begun to pick up a few words in Ki-Rwandan from a few Rwandan friends I have made so far. It is hard for me to remember the two or three words I know on command all the time, even when I repeat them to myself over and over again. I think it is just a matter of time and persistant consistancy.

I pray all of you are well and encouraged in the Lord.

Blessings be upon you,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I am glad you got to Kigalie safely. How was the 40 hours before? I was hoping you would send me an e-mail. It seems to be only 9 hours difference between time there and home.Is that true?Praying for you.

Hello Andrew: We will add you to our list of people that we pray for on a regular basis. I spoke with your mother today on the phone and expect to see her Saturday. We are frequently out of town. So I was caught off guard when I called and asked to speak to your dad. We were not aware that he had passed away. We share your loss. It will be a good thing for us to check your blog on a regular basis and keep tabs on your own personal ministry.

God Bless you, Bill and Kris Franzke

You made it!
I've been feeling a lot of pressure at school, and it was so nice to have an email from you first thing in the morning. Perhaps you haven't been in Kigali long enough to see how God will use you there. But he has already used you today--to reset my perspective and remind me that there's more to life than school! Well done, my friend. :)
I've added your blog to Google Reader, so I'll be looking forward to future updates. Take care!
